| WORDSTOBEMUSIC | — AN NFT JOURNAL TO MEET MUSIC REVIEWS & POETRY

For the past 12 years, I’ve been writing music reviews for various Swiss blogs and print newspapers. On my path, I’ve met incredible music that inspired me torrent of words that didn’t fit our time media’s needs. Those words still live in my mind, hoping maybe one day to be read.
For the past 24 months, my mind has been looking for the right way to bring those words to life. But then, I met NFTs, and my dream found a home to live in.

With | wordstobemusic |, I’ll attempt a 2-in-1 creative adventure: combine music reviews and poetry under one roof, wishing to offer a new perspective on how writing can highlight music’s essence and what music inspires us to feel/create.

An inherent question lies ahead:

why music and poetry?

Music. Writing. Two essential elements of life. At least for me.

We all have these little things we hide from the world like they’re the most precious treasure we ever had. This is what music and writing are to me.

It’s the air I breathe. The escape lane I go to when I’m lost in life’s maze.

There will always be words written — in my mind or on one paper — that’ll make me feel like I can breathe again. There will always be a song that would do the same magic.

And sometimes, a miracle happens, and music inspires me to write words needing to be written. A spell taking the shape of a poem, a little or short story, a letter…anyways, it’s always a healing spell.

This roof will hold a creative adventure where both writing clouds are inspired by music. Its virtual pages hope to help you find that unique state of mind when the music stops life around you and lets you just be. Who knows what might happen?

In | wordstobemusic | will explore musical moments through:
- music reviews seeking to read the dreamlike imagination provoked by theharmonies created rather than formulate a critique of the latter.
- poems: written during live music performances
- short/little stories: written during live music performances
- who knows what more?

Summer 2022 edition

| wordstobemusic | first edition will have the tremendous joy of taking you on a journey to two of Switzerland’s major music festivals: the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Paléo Festival Nyon. Both festivals will welcome me as an NFT writer to create the journal. Make sure you follow their social — if you’re a music lover, you won’t regret it.
